1st August 2019

This item was posted on the 1st August and will only be current for a short period of time, we recommend that you check our pick your own page before visiting as this is kept up to date during the picking season.

Our sunflowers are now ready. Available for pick your own at 50p per stem or ready picked in a bunch of 5 for £3.50 in the farm shop. If you are coming picking we recommend bringing secateurs, their stems are fairly tough and take a bit of snapping off.

A bunch of sunflowers is the perfect antidote to the gloomy weather!

Back to the pick your own, our courgettes and marrows are now doing very well and the runner beans and blackberries have just started.

We still currently have rhubarb, raspberries, broad beans, redcurrants and blackcurrants but the gooseberries are now very soft and difficult to pick. If you missed them we have frozen quite a lot and these are now on sale in the farm shop.

For the availability of strawberries it is best to check the pick your own page. We do have a late crop, but the area is not huge and if we have high customer volumes is quickly picked off.  This means that the patch will be open some days but closed on others.
