Strawberry Season is on Its Way at Malt Kiln Farm Shop, Warwickshire
There’s something special happening in the pick your own fields …
Our strawberry tunnels are now up and covered, marking the true start of the growing season here in Stretton-under-Fosse. While it might still feel early, under the roofs the plants are being given the best conditions: warmth, shelter, and a strong head start on the British summer.
If all goes to plan (and with a little help from the sunshine), in just a couple of months these tunnels will be full of ripe, juicy strawberries ready to pick.
When will Pick Your Own strawberries open?
We’re expecting our Pick Your Own (PYO) strawberries at Malt Kiln Farm Shop to open sometime in June, depending on the weather and how the crop develops.
As always with farming, nature leads the way.
