The deli counter virtual cheese tour has now started. Visit our cheese counter to try our range of lovely Cornish cheeses as illustrated by the map. Along side old favourites such as Cornish Yarg & St Endellion Brie, we have four feature cheeses which are listed below. Members of our cheese club will be entitled to a 10% discount off these featured cheeses. To join the cheese club simply fill in the form at the bottom of the page and then collect your membership card from the deli counter next time you are in the farm shop.

The cheeses are:

Cornish smuggler, a stunning farmhouse cheese, handmade by Whalesborough Farm near Bude on the North Cornish coast.  This deliciously creamy cheese, made in small batches, has a wonderful red marbling throughout and makes a fantastic addition to the cheeseboard. Winner of a Gold Star at the Great Taste Awards 2013.

Trelawny,  the original cheese created by Sue Proudfoot on Whalesborough Farm. Made from pasteurised cow’s milk with vegetable rennet.  A naturally mould ripened traditional Cornish farmhouse cheese with a beautifully balanced clean citrus flavour and a creamy texture. Unique pink/grey edible rind.

Miss Muffet, Made from pasteurized cow’s milk, and again produced at Whalesborough Farm near Bude. Miss Muffet has supple texture and nutty creamy flavour and is a sweet continental style washed curd cheese with a pink/grey natural mould rind. Not to mention a multiple award winning cheese.

And by no means least Helford Blue from the Treveador Dairy, Helston, is made using full fat pasteurised cow’s milk. It is a soft, pale creamy textured blue cheese full of flavour with an edible, colourful, greyish blue rind and a varied blue vein. Highly prized by chefs country wide, featuring on many top end restaurant cheeseboards. A staple in the Quantas Airline’s first class cabin as well as First Great Western’s First class dining car. Helford Blue has received gold awards from both the World Cheese and the British Cheese awards.
