Fathers Day Treat

This post is older than 6 months
 13th June 2019

Fathers day is this Sunday. There is a fair bit of truth in the saying the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. A nice bottle of red and a lovely T bone steak from our butcher’s counter will surely make his day.

Our livestock is reared to the highest welfare standards at Streetfields Farm, near Lutterworth and travels less than 8 miles to a local abattoir. The carcasses are delivered back to the farm shop and butchered on the premises.

We offer a high level of customer service, with a butcher always on hand to prepare cuts and joints to your requirements. The butchery manager, Martin Buswell has years of experience and can advise on the type of joint to suit your needs. Not just for special occasions and dinner parties, with lots of helpful cooking tips and recipe ideas it’s the personal touch that sets our butchers counter apart.

For dessert at this time of year its got to be strawberries and cream.

Our strawberries are available ready picked in the farm shop, but for those feeling more adventurous we opened our pick your this week. Sadly it has coincided with the wettest week of the year – bring sensible footwear.  Fortunately it does look a bit brighter and warmer going into the weekend and next week. For full pick your own availability please refer to our pick your own page.
