Our 2025 pumpkin crop is officially in the ground! After an unusually long dry spell this spring, although we did enjoy the sunshine (no complaints) the soil was rather dry. Fortunately we were lucky to catch a perfectly timed planting window – just after the first proper downpour, followed by a few more days of welcome rain. It’s too early to predict how the season will unfold, but we’re hoping for a balance of sunshine and showers to give the plants their best chance after a challenging growing year in 2024.
This year, we’ve gone all out with a wide range of pumpkins adn squash – from classic orange whoppers to quirky colours, warty textures and all sorts of shapes and sizes. Whether you’re after the perfect carving pumpkin, a photo-worthy oddball, or something for your autumn cooking, we’re growing something for everyone.
We can’t wait to welcome you to the pumpkin patch this October, but you don’t have to wait until autumn to visit us our PYO fields!
Our summer Pick Your Own season kicks off very soon with:
Strawberries
Gooseberries
Rhubarb
Followed by Raspberries (late June / first week July) Blackcurrants (early July), Redcurrants (early July), Blackberries (early August)
Yes, we grow summer squash, if you need a fix before October! You’ll find a selection ready to pick alongside our courgettes and marrows.
Come and visit us on the edge of the peaceful village of Stretton-under-Fosse, Warwickshire, just a short drive from Lutterworth, Rugby, and Coventry.
Pop in and enjoy a day out in the countryside with local produce.
