This year we had a bumper pumpkin crop. Sales for Halloween were very good. We appear to have benefitted from the dry summer as the supermarkets did not seem to have as many to sell as normal. However we still have quite a few left for any one wishing to make pumpkin soup or pumpkin pie or may be carve another one for bonfire night. John Bye, a local artist carved out this face using a couple of our pumpkins. Perhaps next year we will run a competition to see who can create the best / scariest design.
